The Ecuadorian corvette BAE El Oro (CM 14) sits pier side in Panama City, Panama before beginning at sea exercises during PANAMAX 2005. PANAMAX is a training exercise in defense of the Panama Canal involving 15 countries. The Panama Canal is critical to the free flow of trade and goods in the Western Hemisphere and the entire world. BAE El Oro (CM 14)

Ecuadorian naval war ship Corvette BAE El Oro (CM 14) glides through the Pacific Ocean in search of a merchant vessel suspected of carrying illegal goods during exercise PANAMAX 2006. Civil, naval and air forces from 18 countries have gathered in Panama to conduct the multi-national training event for the defense of the Panama Canal. PANAMAX 2006 is multinational training exercise tailored to the defense of the Panama Canal, involving civil and military forces from the region. KD Laksamana Hang Nadim (134)

KD Laksamana Hang Nadim - Royal Malaysian Navy Ships conduct a PHOTEX during Exercise MASTEX 7/2009. Mid Caption Two Royal Australian Navy ships have joined their Malaysian counterparts for Exercise Mastex, a combined maritime warfare exercise being conducted in the Malacca Straits, Malaysia. Adelaide Class Frigate HMAS Darwin and Replenishment ship HMAS Success will take part in the week long exercise, alongside Royal Malaysian Corvettes KD Lekiu and KD Laksamana Hung Nadim. HMTS Sukhothai (FS 442 )

Thai Ratanakosin Class Missile Corvette, HMTS Sukhothai in the background. Ships depart Fort Hill Wharf in Darwin and the HMAS Coonawarra Basin for the two week sea phase of Exercise Kakadu. Two thousand sailors and airmen from nine nations are gearing up in northern Australia for Exercise Kakadu IX, an important international Defence exercise. The 19 day exercise will bring together Defence personnel from Australia, New Zealand, the French Armed Forces - New Caledonia (FANC), Singapore, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Japan and Thailand; with observers from the Philippines, Indonesia and India. RFS Vladimiretc (060)

This warship is modified version of the 'Babochka' ASW hydrofoil design. Only one unit now in service. MPK "Vladimiretc" was built by FSO "More", Feodosiya, Ukraine. Laid down 12 May 1984, completed 30 Dec 1990. Laid up 14 Mar 1991. From 12 May 1984 this warship has name "MPK-220", and from 03 Apr 1998 to present moment - "Vladimiretc".(Photo: A.Brichevsky)
